The Jabberwocky is a nonsense poem by Lewis Carroll which was included in his novel 'Through the Looking Glass'. It has been one of my favourites since I was a child, and when the opportunity arose to depict a narrative in the form of a comic, I immediately chose to take an experimental approach to my depiction of the poem.
The idea was to create a short comic which carried across the whimsical atmosphere of the poem, and I decided to simplify my stylistic approach significantly and try something a little different. I worked with ink and a brushpen for the majority of the illustrations.
